Hey, look! It's Billy Ruane, from the 80s! (He's the guy who jumps onto the stage about halfway(?) through this random video.) Apparently he was a regular at the Middle East who called loudly from the audience, but he doesn't have a Wikipedia page.

It's a shame the camera turned away from Billy, he's great as always.
There is a Wikipedia page on his father William J. Ruane Sr. and Billy's godfather is rumored to be Warren Buffet.
too bad this is a top hit on google the guitarist doesnt even seem to know billy. for anyone who doesnt know- billy put a face on underground music by booking the middle east restaurant in cambridge mass. usa.. he died last night.

In fact, the guitarist knew him very, very well, I assure you -- this was a reunion gig in 2006 for a band formed in the late '70s / early '80s, and Billy had been tackling George for at least that long.
Oops, sorry, I guess it was '05 -- in any case, it was during a wretched heat wave that stretched from beginning to end of the 25th reunion of the Harvard class of 1980.
